What is Science of Stretching™ ?

SCIENCE OF STRETCHING™  is targeted mobility training that involves long hold passive stretches. Poses are practiced completely relaxed, so gravity does most of the work. This practice is meant to supplement, and not replace other forms of Yoga or exercise. 

Why is it important to do deep stretching?

Deep passive stretching is a way to relax. Tissues we stretch are muscles ( we train muscle fibers to their full length and add more fibers), fascia ( we lengthen, shorten, thicken, thin, change shape), and we also get Myofacial Release  (nervous system release).

How does it work?

There are 3 principles of Science of Stretching; Wet Noodle, Breath to relax and Time under passive Tension. Join our class to discover how it all works.
